Into the Dark by Fiona Cummins

This was a really enjoyable book that I read in a day – it’s too hot to go outside so I sat in side and read instead. It is one of those books where the victim ends up being the perpetrator but has a very unusual detective and Dr on the case who are a little unsettling.

It is a tale of greed and mothers and children but not necessarily in a good way. It is also about friendship although with a friend like Piper we do not need any enemies.

I struggled to see how the title fitted the book but I think it might be that slowly but surely the two women, Julianna and Piper, slipped from being friends into collaborators, out only for themselves and into the darkness of greed and jealousy. Their lives look perfect from the outside but just about everyone is lying in this book.
